With just five weeks to go before MT’s first ever Inspiring Women conference kicks off, seats are being snapped up quickly. It’s no surprise: our speakers include Cilla Snowball CBE, chair of AMV BBDO, longstanding MT columnist Baroness Denise Kingsmill, Mumsnet co-founder Justine Roberts, and Sarah Curran, the founder of My-Wardrobe.com. Now we’re proud to add the CEO of Shine Group, Alex Mahon to our roster of esteemed speakers.
There’s no doubt that Mahon is an established figure in television circles, having worked for the RTL Group, FremantleMedia, then as COO at talkbackThames. She took up the managing director post at Shine TV in 2006 and succeeded Rupert Murdoch’s daughter Elisabeth as CEO of Shine Group in July this year. Her promotion comes little more than a year after News Corp paid $675m to acquire the company – a serious purchase indeed.
With such a stellar career in the broadcasting industry, we’re confident she has some fascinating insights about women in the corporate sphere. To meet Alex Mahon or any of our other high-profile speakers, or just to hear their advice on the business world, book your place at Inspiring Women today.
