Overcoming Procrastination; Windy Dryden; Sheldon Press; pounds 6.99

Another reliable book from the 'overcoming common problems' series. It uses the rational emotive behaviour therapy technique to help readers confront why they procrastinate, and guide them through solutions. A strong psychological approach, which manages not to be intimidating. (Best of its kind)

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Overcoming Procrastination; Michelle Tullier; Alpha pounds 12.99

Sharp, funny and divided into easily assimilated bullet points, Tullier's style is hugely readable. The book has lots of interactive exercises and entertaining case studies. The only drawback is its size and shape - difficult to carry around. Advice varies from clever psychological tips to practical suggestions. (Best of its kind)

Procrastination; Burka & Yuen; Perseus Books; pounds 7.95

Written by two self-confessed 'moderately reformed' procrastinators, this book offers practical, and some humorous, advice. However, its dense format could be used as a delaying tactic for those trying to postpone reading it. (Of minor interest)
