GARY HAMEL - 'Management is out of date,' writes Hamel in our exclusive excerpt from his new book. A bold statement - if true, it will put MT's hungry hacks out of a job. Fortune magazine called him 'the world's leading expert on business strategy'. The Future of Management is published in full next month.

HELEN KIRWAN-TAYLOR - The author of our piece on time-wasting calls herself a constructive procrastinator who's often found cleaning out closets when she should be working. An American journalist based in Notting Hill, this MT regular also writes about psychology for the Wall Street Journal.

HENRY STEWART - Our guest reviewer was supposed to look at just one book for us, but as he warmed to the theme, he ended up reviewing two. Fitting, perhaps, for the founder of a firm called Happy. His IT training firm was voted second-best place to work in the UK this year - not bad for an outfit born in a back room in Hackney.

SATHNAM SANGHERA - A taste for fast wheels has helped our new car reviewer notch up nine points on his licence, even though he's never owned a car. Sanghera was chief features writer at the FT before becoming a Times senior business writer. For MT, he starts in style in the Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

KEV HOPGOOD - Kent-based cover artist Hopgood cites American Gene 'the Dean' Colan and Frenchman Jean Giraud as his comic artist influences, but he has his own following too, his portfolio including 2000 AD and Marvel Comics' Iron Man. Through another comic strip, he plans to show Brits the joys of the Napoleonic Wars.
