How to handle an argument, with YouTube

Saxondale, Monty Python and the Fast Show show us the ways of verbal sparring.

When the proverbial hits the fan, stay calm. Steve Coogan's pest controller, Tommy Saxondale, is faced with a bunch of animal protestors, and does it all by the book - he doesn't back down, expresses his rights, and still gets time to liken one dreadlocked crony to Mick Hucknall. Best lay off the firearms though.

Stand your ground. There's nothing worse in a business situation than someone who doesn't know what they think. Or who backs down from their views at the slightest nudge. If the Fast Show's indecisive Dave is bad enough in the pub, imagine him in the office.

Don't throw your weight around. Even if you're on important business and someone is being boneheaded and refusing to budge, try to meet them on their level. Here Monty Python's King Arthur just needs a simple answer from a peasant, and is soon accused of physical harassment.
