The 36-year-old Murtagh took over the helm of the family business in 2005 and hasn't looked back.
Despite the impact of the credit crunch on its share price - and the wider construction market - Kingspan has performed better than most. It even managed to raise loans of EUR330m after the events of Black September, a vote of confidence in the firm. But Murtagh expects full-year profits to fall by some 33% to around EUR150m.
