Secret of my success: It's the age-old combination of ambition, persistence and hard work. And having the confidence not to emulate the behaviour and views of others, but maintain a curious mind, challenge the status quo and trust my own opinions.

Biggest career lesson: As my career has progressed, I see more and more the value of a healthy work/life balance. It also benefits my work to have downtime, as it helps me maintain perspective.

Best piece of advice: Don't think you must have your career mapped out as you enter the workplace. It can take interesting and challenging twists - so watch out for opportunities from unlikely places.
