What does management mean to you? Having a clear head, staying cool. I don't have the luxury of panicking. It means balancing the needs of the officers and my list of OIs. I've got to make my targets and ensure all my incidents are seen to in the best possible time. You need to be on the ball. Officers want to know what is happening everywhere. I have to make sure everyone is safe at any one time, especially when an officer is chasing a suspect.
What do you love/hate about it? I like working with the team - there's a good atmosphere, it's exciting and I like feeling that I'm making a difference. I don't really like doing shifts.
