For business I find the best service in hotels in the Far East, probably because there are more staff per guest than anywhere else. The Peninsula is the best example of this. It has both the best views in Hong Kong, overlooking the harbour, and the best service. They meet you at the airport with a limousine and you pretty much have your own private butler. No two rooms are the same, and are all beautifully decorated. There are five restaurants with differing degrees of formality - all very relaxed with superb Chinese food. I once travelled there on business and took my family.

It was my son's 11th birthday, and there was a birthday cake waiting in the room. He has never forgotten it.
