GlaxoSmithKline 63.5
Reckitt Benckiser 61.3
Abbott (UK) 59.0
Smith & Nephew 58.2
AstraZeneca 56.4

New CEO Andrew Witty, who replaces JP Garnier, has been with the company since 1985. His aim is for GSK to reduce its levels of risk and diversify its products, looking for multiple smaller returns rather than one or two wonder drugs. Cillit Bang manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser moves from third to second place, and up 32 places overall. Reckitt's Q3 results were strong, with underlying sales up 10%. Its group CEO Bart Becht made headlines in the autumn for speaking out over Tesco's attempts to stretch supplier payment terms. In third place is newcomer Abbott Laboratories UK, part of the $1.32bn American corporation.
