Tony Langley started his own business in 1976, taking on the orders of a company owned by his grandfather that had gone into liquidation. He taught himself engineering while running his company which now makes cement cooling machines, dockside cranes and the like. Retford-based Langley Holdings turned in a £75.8m profit on £694m sales in 2013.
