Matthew Riley, a former telecoms salesman for Deutsche Telekom, set up Nelson-based Daisy Communications in 2001. It provides corporate telecoms to small and medium-sized companies. The business has grown rapidly and Riley has taken over smaller telecom companies that have run into trouble in the recession. Daisy floated on the stock market in 2008.
