A veteran of the telecom sector, Charles Wigoder qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1984 and was subsequently employed by Kleinwort Securities as an investment analyst in the media and communication sector. He set up Cellular Communications in 1988, later selling the renamed Peoples Phone to Vodafone in 1996 for £77m. But Wigoder immediately started up again with Telecom Plus. Based in North London, Telecom Plus has evolved from a telecom operator into a multi-utility company.
