Ocado, the Hemel Hempstead-based online grocer, was set up in 2000 by a trio of former Goldman Sachs bankers including chief executive Tim Steiner. It floated on the stock market in 2010 valued at £937m. After a difficult start, the shares bounced up and down but soared following a deal with Morrisons, the Yorkshire supermarket group. Ocado is now worth £1.77 billion.
