Yeo Valley Group, best known for its range of yoghurts, made a £4.7m profit on £261m sales in 2012-13. Its first conventional yoghurt was made on a dairy farm in Blagdon near Bristol back in 1974. The first organic yoghurt was produced twenty years later and today Yeo Valley Organic has become the best-known organic brand in Britain. It is now run by the founders’ son Tim Mead.
