Perhaps, like many people, you blame the competitive nature of your business for much of your stress. You may be right. But over-competitiveness can heighten stress levels in the office.

DON'T LET OTHERS PUSH YOU into over-stretching yourself. Fast movers often trip before reaching their destination.

REWARD YOURSELF for reaching your own targets, rather than for achieving victories over others.

BE CO-OPERATIVE with colleagues. Encouraging over-competitiveness breeds selfishness, even among saints.

ASK YOUR NEAREST AND DEAREST to tell you if you start getting blood-thirsty. Competition can be addictive.
