Coping with modern work-life, with YouTube

Work well in today's world, with Curb Your Enthusiasm, the Onion and a Matrix-style rap video...

Switch the mobile off. Yes, modern technology allows us to stay in touch, and to work through lunch, but don't become a slave to it. Avoid developing a Bluetooth addiction. As Larry David discovers in this clip from Curb Your Enthusiasm, that can be very very annoying.

Don't let the spam beat you. We all know what it's like to suffer an intolerable flood of spam e-mails. It'll never go away entirely, so there are only two things we can do - stay on top of technological ways to control it, or just block it out and get on with it. According to this report from the Onion, things may be about to get easier: the country of koyporgoff, which is apparently responsible for most of the world's spam, is to suffer sanctions to block the country's main exports - cheap prescription pills, ringtones and free iPods.

Enjoy what you have. Sometimes playing a part in a modern machine can seem just too impersonal. Yes, it may feel like you're a robot sometimes, but at least you're not Pete Miser - the rapper has discovered, thanks to a mis-sent email, that he's working in a cubicle farm for a company whose product is more robots like him.
