How to deal with rudeness on Zoom

Working women are no strangers to being talked over (or at) in meetings. It’s perhaps one of the reasons why a clip of Jackie Weaver asserting herself in a Handforth Parish Council zoom meeting has recently gone viral

The circulating video shows Weaver, the meeting clerk, removing the riotous chairperson from the virtual meeting and then calmly managing the remaining two hostile male officers.

Similarly, last year clips of Kamala Harris peacefully lifting her hand up to Mike Pence after one too many interruptions and saying “Mr Vice President, I’m speaking”, became an internet sensation.
