Europe is 'sleepwalking towards disaster'

Quote of the day: 'The sense of a never-ending crisis, with one domino falling after another, must be reversed,' says a new report by leading European economists. 'The last domino, Spain, is days away from a liquidity crisis.' Two members of Germany's Council of Economic Experts and leading euro specialists at the London School of Economics have penned a report for the Institute for New Economic Thinking, warning that Europe is 'sleepwalking towards disaster'. The report surfaces as yields on Spanish 10-year bonds hit 7.6%, an unsustainable level for any economy.
