As Back to the Future's Marty McFly says as he finishes introducing rock'n'roll to the world (and Chuck Berry), they'll soon catch on. And if you're a true innovator, you won't worry about all the blank stares you get in return.
Ditch the gimmicks. With the current state of the economy, people are looking for good value and goods they can trust; they don't want to pay through the nose for things that look good but don't do the job. Apple may be kings of innovation, but have they taken it too far? In this Onion report, the tech giant shows off its new ‘keyboardless' laptop, where everything is ‘just a few hundred clicks away'.
And finally, an idea can strike at any time. But give it careful nurturing and development. Seinfeld's Cosmo Kramer learns this with his new breakthrough: the ‘mansiere', a garment offering chest support for out-of-shape men. This clip also offers several more lessons, such as trusting your own instincts in the face of ridicule, and choosing your business partners carefully. Oh, and don't try and sell an idea that's blatantly stupid.
