Dragons’ Den has its shortcomings, as MT has written in the past. But for all its controversy it remains one of the most popular business shows on TV (and at the very least a lot more realistic than the Apprentice...).
And now it has two new investors to replace foodie entrepreneur Sarah Willingham and Moonpig founder Nick Jenkins, who have moved on to pastures new. One is Steve Parish, who sold marketing production company TAG Worldwide to Deutsche Post in 2011 and is now a part-owner of Crystal Palace.
The other is Jenny Campbell, a former banker and founder of cash machine provider YourCash, which she sold in October. Last year Campbell spoke at MT’s Inspiring Women conferences in Birmingham and Edinburgh. We sat down with her to find out why, despite the proliferation of contactless and mobile payments, she thought cash is still king.
