How ambitious parents can 'press the pause button' for a couple of years while their children are small.

In response to Jennifer Liston-Smith's recent blog on parental rights, one of our readers asked how parents can get away with putting their career on hold while they have small children - without damaging their long-term prospects. This is obviously a huge topic, but Jennifer has responded with some thoughts on the various options you might want to explore - including a managed return to full-time (possibly via Keeping in Touch days), applying for part time or flexible work, and working with an employer to create quality part-time roles.
