Branson has managed to set the record for the oldest person to kitesurf the Channel but almost ended up in the clink when he landed on French soil. 'The police told us that the food in the cells wasn't as good as in French restaurants,' laughed the Virgin tycoon, adding. 'Luckily, they had a sense of humour and they let us off with a very firm warning not to do it again.'
