Social media marketing song: if you don't cringe, you're not human (video)

Delegates at the 2014 Social Media Marketing World Convention were 'treated' to a song called 'Let's Get Social'. People with ears should probably avoid this

A few years ago MT went to a conference where it had to sit through a children's choir singing a medley of Boomtown Rats songs - but that's not a patch on this. Delegates at the 2014 Social Media Marketing World Convention - where tickets cost $1,300 apiece - had to sit through a song called 'Let's Get Social', sung by a lady called Mary McCoy.

Don't get us wrong - McCoy sounds fine. But as a taster, the chorus goes like this:

Connect with me and have some fun
Let’s show the world how it’s done
Let’s get social
With social media
