While the nation is recovering from yesterday's barrage of spending cuts, at least one person is celebrating – after 12 days the winner/s of the £113m Euro Millions jackpot has finally stepped forward to claim their prize. So far, the winner has decided to remain anonymous, but if it’s an individual, they’ll automatically become the 589th wealthiest person in Britain – although by waiting so long to come forward, they’ve missed out on an extra £102,000 they could have accrued through interest. That probably won't be any consolation to the 1,000 or so hopefuls who wrote to Camelot claiming they’d lost their winning ticket, though. Nice try - but better luck next time, folks.
