Stat of the day: 6

The number of executives leaving Everything Everywhere after the company's new boss took the reins.

Last Updated: 09 Oct 2013
The new chief executive of mobile phone giant Everything Everywhere has marked his first day in office by wielding the axe over the company’s senior executives.

More than half of Olaf Swantee’s senior management team left or were demoted when he took over yesterday as the boss of Everything Everywhere, the company created by the merger of T-Mobile and Orange. Ten vice-presidents have been demoted while six executives have left the company altogether, reducing the top table from 26 to 10. At this rate there’ll be nobody left anywhere.
