What is it? A digital camera attachment for (some) Nokia phones.
What does it do? These days, texting is out, picture messaging is in. After all, if your phone takes photos you can back up your claim to have bumped into David Beckham at the supermarket with photographic evidence. This little gadget lets you keep up with techno-fashion by turning your regular Nokia 5100, 6100, 6610, 6800 or 7210 into a camera phone. Just plug it in and snap away. Images are stored in your phone, so finding enough memory space for games, ringtones and pictures may be a challenge.
What's the competition? The industry is keen to encourage 'multimedia messaging' for its potential to make us all spend more and boost the networks' flagging revenues per user. So there are plenty of camera phones about - at a price. The camera headset's functionality is basic but it's cheap and does what it says on the packet.
When can I get it? It's available now for pounds 79.99 from high street stores or direct from Nokia.
