What is it?
IBM's hip new PC. And, although 'chic' and 'IBM' aren't two words you'd necessarily use in the same sentence, the Netvista range is a world away from the beige sameness normally associated with the company's products.
What does it do?
Everything a PC normally does. But it does it with a slimline flat screen, a low-profile keyboard and an easy-to-hide black box that contains all the bits. Who says it's only Mac users who get to play with stylish toys?
What's the competition?
Now that anyone can manufacture a beige box, increasing numbers of manufacturers are looking at the way they design their products to add value. Of course, Apple users will always claim - with some justification - that the ne plus ultra of swanky computing will always be the iMac.
When can I get it?
Widely available now for around pounds 1,500 (ex-VAT)
