TECHKNOW: Smart tools - Cardscan 600 Executive - What does it do?

Last Updated: 31 Aug 2010

What does it do?

The Cardscan hooks up to your PC, PDA or mobile phone and converts business cards into address book entries without tedious typing. Feed a card in face-up and Cardscan does the rest, creating a fully formatted, searchable name and address in seconds. It scans up to eight cards at once using a special plastic holder, and it translates from all major foreign languages.

Worried about leaving your iPaq in a taxi? Back up all your data onto Cardscan's secure webserver for peace of mind. You can even sign up to have your address book spring-cleaned every three months to keep entries up to date - at no extra charge.

What's the competition?

There are plenty of business card scanners on the market, but not many can match Cardscan for compatibility with numerous devices, or for its all-round level of service. Doing your Christmas card list will never be easier.
