I had a laptop, but this is better. Laptops with decent-sized screens are too bulky for travelling, and the compact ones don't have big enough screens.

As well as doing my e-mail, I have 20 or 30 RSS feeds set up to give me industry news from key websites. I use a Vodafone 3G datacard to get online, plus a compression technology called OnSpeed to boosts the transmission rate. It's handy, as I can't get broadband at home.
