Sundridge Park in Kent obviously knows a thing or two about how to attract people to its high-powered courses. A letter recently landed through the mailbox at the offices of Management Today, advertising "CRAC at Sundridge Park Management Centre".

Intrigued by the idea that one of Britain's top management training establishments was involved in an unusual extra-curricular activity, we read down to discover that CRAC was not all that it seemed to be. The letters stand for Careers Research Advisory Centre, described as "an educational charity concerned with preparing young people for adult and working life".

Needless to say, we were much reassured to know that Sundridge Park hadn't really cracked.
