There is apparently a pub high in the Yorkshire Pennines which is the modern equivalent of Delphi. Whenever the parliamentary press lobby asked awkward questions of "sources" close to the former Prime Minister, the words were: "I can assure you, they're not talking about the exchange rate mechanism at the Three Ferrets in Hebden Bridge."
