Thomas & Friends continues to hold this position,' - A spokesman from HIT Entertainment, which owns Thomas the Tank Engine merchandise, tells the FT that their products were the top-selling toys for pre-schoolers in the UK. The spat broke out yesterday, after Entertainment One, owners of Peppa Pig, said sales of more than £200m meant Thomas the Tank Engine had been knocked off the top spot.
